Lisa White Hardwick is a judge on the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District, based out of Kansas City.

Biographical

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, judge Hardwick earned her bachelor's degree from University of Missouri-Columbia, 1982 and her J.D. from Harvard Law School, 1985.

Legal Career

Judge Hardwick joined Shook, Hardy & Bacon in private law practice in 1985, was a firm partner 1992 – 2000. She was subsequently elected to Jackson County Legislature, serving 1993-2000. Appointed Jackson County Circuit Court Judge (16th Judicial Circuit) in January 2000. Appointed to the Court of Appeals May 2, 2001, and retained in 2002. Term expires December 31, 2014.[1]

Supreme Court Nomination

Missouri's Appellate Judicial Commission announced that it submitted the names of judges Ronald Holliger, Lisa White Hardwick and Zel Fischer to Gov. Matt Blunt as nominees to the state’s high court. Hollinger and Hardwick are judges on the Missouri Court of Appeals Western District; Fischer is an associate circuit judge in Atchison County. Blunt has 60 days to consider the nominees and make a selection to succeed Stephen Limbaugh Jr., who was selected to become a federal judge for the U.S. District Court for Eastern Missouri.[2]
