Paul Newton

Paul Newton was at one time running against incumbent Oliver Diaz and "Bubba" Pierce for the District 2, Place 2 seat on the Mississippi Supreme Court in 2008; though Newton qualified for the race, he eventually pulled out.[1]
Newton is an attorney in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Outpaced in Funding: 2008 Race
As of late June, Newton had been outpaced in terms of campaign contributions by his opponents. Oliver Diaz had collected $3,400, while opponent Randy "Bubba" Pierce had raised $78,119. Newton had reported no contributions by the June 10 report.[2]
